Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

This is a template Privacy Policy and has not been reviewed by an attorney. It does not include a GLBA-model-form financial privacy notice, which must be tailored to Argent's actual data-sharing practices. It should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before this site is published, given the payment-processing and financial-services regulatory obligations that apply to Argent Payments LLC.

1. Introduction

Argent Payments LLC ("Argent," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the website argentpayments.com (the "Site"), and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through the Site, through forms submitted on the Site, and through related communications (phone, email, text). It does not apply to information collected as part of an active merchant processing relationship, which is addressed in your Merchant Processing Agreement and any separate financial privacy notice provided at that time.

2. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information from and about visitors to our Site:

Information you provide directly. When you submit a form on the Site (such as a rate review request, the Contact Us form, or a newsletter signup), we collect information such as your name, company name, email address, phone number, business type, monthly processing volume, and any message or details you provide.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and the dates/times of your visits, typically through cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies, and third-party analytics tools.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Site, understand how visitors use the Site, and support marketing efforts. You can instruct your browser to refuse all or some cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, some parts of the Site may become inaccessible or not function properly.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information, to:

Respond to your inquiries and provide the information or services you request; contact you about your inquiry by phone, text, or email; process and personalize your rate review request; operate, maintain, and improve the Site; understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve content and user experience; send you marketing communications, where you have not opted out; detect, prevent, and address fraud, security, or technical issues; and comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and industry obligations.

5. Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose information that we collect or that you provide:

To our service providers and vendors who perform functions on our behalf, such as customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, email/SMS communication providers, website hosting, and analytics providers, solely to help us provide and improve the Site and respond to your inquiries; to underlying acquiring banks, payment processors, and card networks if you proceed toward becoming a merchant client, as necessary to evaluate and support that relationship; to comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request; to enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements; and to protect the rights, property, or safety of Argent, our customers, or others. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. Where information relates to payment card data in connection with the Services, that data is handled in a manner consistent with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When personal information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or anonymize it.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your state of residence, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to: request access to the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate personal information; request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (Argent does not sell personal information); and opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails, replying "STOP" to text messages, or contacting us using the information below.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 12 below. We will respond to verifiable requests as required by applicable law.

9. Children's Privacy

The Site is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

10. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") signal. Because there is not yet an accepted standard for how businesses should respond to DNT signals, our Site does not currently respond differently based on a detected DNT signal.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page, with the "Last updated" date reflected above. Material changes will be indicated by a revised date, and, where appropriate, additional notice may be provided.
